Functional silos exist in the MRO supply chain world; members of these silos [Procurement, Finance, Maintenance,] have differing opinions on how MRO should be managed and sustained…. unfortunately with relatively little concern as to the need to coordinate actions. MRO inconsistency is commonplace for many reasons; nevertheless, the situation needs to be transformed…changed… in order for operations to be optimized. There are four basic management components that, when activated, would expand existing supply chain services into a comprehensive program that would satisfy the goals of all members of these silos.
