Donald Shoemaker, Vice President Engineering & Consulting Services for Synovos, the leading pure integrated supply chain management company in the world, has been selected to present a paper at the upcoming Reliable Plant 2020 conference in Louisville, KY.
Shoemaker will present his paper “Should We Be Doing More? The Role of Continuous Improvement in Sustaining Plant Reliability.” The conference, to be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville, is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees. The mission of the conference is to “educate, connect and inspire” professionals tasked with driving plant reliability.
Shoemaker, a registered professional engineer, will talk about the need for continuous improvement in the production environment. He looks at the MRO supply chain from the plant’s perspective in recognizing the need to seek outside help in managing the MRO supply chain, understanding how different departments – maintenance, engineering, procurement, manufacturing and finance – impact that program, and identifying how a continuous improvement strategy and program can address some of those core issues.
